Coined by Luigi Fantappie in 1942 to describe the attractive force which all natural systems gravitate towards: increasing order, complexity, structure, and life.

I use it here to refer to the work of Ernst Götsch who has developed a system of agroforestry in Brazil called Syntropic Agriculture (also called multi-strata agroforestry and Agrofloresta).
